Alex and the Big Apple

We did it!

On Thursday October 9th, we set out for a long drive across the country to New York for a family event - a surprise anniversary party for Jessica's aunt and uncle. We traveled 2200 miles round trip - our little girl did very well!

It took us two days to get out there and two days to get back, and during this trip we introduced the very helpful pacifier (we promised we would only "break glass in case of emergency" and within 1-2 hours on the road, we broke the glass).

We did not have the opportunity to take too many pictures, but are relying on all the pics that everyone else took to supplement the blog.

Driving across the country we learned that McDonald's usually does not have diaper changing stations and Cracker Barrel has excellent built in changing stations in the men's and women's restrooms. Also, hotel parking lots are great places to nurse a hungry baby and you can change a baby in the front seat of a parked car.

Here are some pics from the trip!
