Glucose Screening & Baby Hardy Size Update

Visited the doctor Friday for my glucose screening for gestational diabetes and should get the results Monday June 2nd.....Most healthcare practitioners routinely recommend a glucose screening test (also called a glucose challenge test or GCT) between 24 and 28 weeks of pregnancy to check for gestational diabetes, a high blood sugar condition that some women get during pregnancy. Read here for more about this test.

Update from the web about the baby: By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his/her head to his/her heels. He/She can open and close their eyes, which now sport lashes. This movement is more of a reflexive blink than a deliberate opening and closing, but it won't be long before it's batting those beauties at you!
