36 weeks old and in search of teeth

Alex has almost spent as much time outside the womb as she did inside!

This weekend's weather was fairly miserable--the rain and cooler temperatures kept us from enjoying the great outdoors, but we did run a few errands.

The local library held their children's book sale and once again we cleaned up with about 40 books at 25 cents each.

Alex is doing her best to welcome in her first two teeth but it is SLOW going. As you can see in the pictures, she's been using her tongue a lot to feel the teeth, maybe even willing them to come out!

35 weeks old - HAPPY EASTER!

Happy Easter everyone! This weekend we visited Grandma Hardy and hunted Easter eggs with some very generous cousins (they shared their loot with Baby A).

Below see pics of a very determined Alex on the hunt in her new "lamb ears" from the Maag's and all dressed up for Easter Sunday service - complete with Easter bonnet (it stayed on for the 1-2 minutes we snapped pictures).

34 weeks old and clapping!

This week we received a new hat and blankie knitted by our very dear family friend, Peggy the Nun (she really is a nun!). Upon wearing the hat, Alex decided to start clapping.

Additionally, we created Alex's Study in our living room - a place for some of her top choice books that get a lot of use.

Yesterday, we visited seven garage sales and bought some books, a Halloween costume, toddler table and chair, ride on car, and some other odds and ends. Also, Alex attended her first Farmer's Market with "Uncle" Greg and we checked out the new Menards in Columbia.

Lastly, Michael took the last picture of a huge green moth on the fence in our backyard.

Still waiting for Spring to officially arrive!
